yes you can either put your actions in parenthesis instead of asterisks or you can put your dialogue in quotation marks like storybook style but significantly shorter for example:
(britney aims her nerf gun at justin's head and shoots. the dart doesn't miss.) your ramen noodle hair looks stupid!
OR
britney aims her nerf un at justin's head and shoots. the dart doesn't miss. "your ramen noodle hair looks stupid!"
and you can add quote attribution to the second example like you might in a normal scene if you want, e.g. "your ramen noodle hair looks stupid!" she yells ALSO i've written them both in past and present tense but find that present is more common if you're doing it in a plot post for whatever reason
i sobs you're welcome anon and also when i said present tense tends to be used more in plot posts i meant commwide plot posts specifically not one on one plot posts since i'm sure everyone has their individual preferences so i'd check in with who you're writing with to discuss what those are if they ask you to f2f or if you want to ask someone
